Galaxy Posters

Post by Chrisfs »

The Wiki has links to some neat pdfs of the various galaxies.

I was thinking that the true OOLite fanatic may want one of these as a physical poster . Has anyone considered making some? I imagine it may cost something, so it might have to be sold rather than given away.

I would rather think that the true Oolite fanatic would want to wait for these instead.

@ Commander McLane:
You're actually referring to the same PDF files as Chrisfs... that wiki page has links to ClymAngus' completed Vector PDF maps.. 8)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Practical and pretty. I was looking up one or two people who might be able to do it at about £30 a pop. I'll have to check my colors though make sure they print correctly.

What size print do you get for your money?

The PDF file says it's about 53 inches by 29 inches at 100% view
which is 134cm by 74 cm

which is a big poster, but could be worth it if you do carrier/bulk runs and don't want to switch over to the onlne galaxy chart all the time.

Wall posters of Galactic charts can be really cool.

I’ve got the original wall chart from Frontier Elite II. I just dug it out and it still looks good.
Maybe I will get it framed and hang it on the wall.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I see. Hadn't bothered to actually follow Chrisfs's link. Just assumed that only the old maps were on that Wiki page.
