Moreover (since nobody is writting anymore in the progress thread!!)a very useful tool for someone to see the changes in the trunk:
http://svn.berlios.de/viewvc/oolite-linux/
Just the thing, couldn't possibly ask for more detail than that!

I might have a go at a summary from that and this thread but don't think I would post it until at least ahruman, another_cmdr, and eric have looked at it...

There is always the easier solution: Install svn, then

Code: Select all

svn log http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/oolite-linux/trunk -r1989:HEAD > svnlog.txt
which will output the entire commit log from revision 1989 (tagged SVN revision of v1.72.2) till latest revision.

Is the ATI fix good to go, because I get the impression I'm not the only one who would presently be cracking on with some serious Ooliting were it not for the 'space full of squares' bother.
And here I went out and bought a new graph card just to play Oolite!!
Mine was a new card, last November. I'll get those new drivers on it once Cyberpower send it back, because it asplodid already.

asploided ? surely you mean Exploded  Nasty business...

In any case, I kind a love the term.. asploided , like telling your ship was destroyed by an Asp. I do hope no snake attempted to bite your card

Other examples.. i just made up

Cobra III: Cobroided..
Mamba: Mambed..
Krait: Kraited..
Python: Pythonized..
Boa: boaoided..
Viper: Viperoided..
Imperial Courier: Imped..
Constrictor.. Chocked...

Character mode ON

Code: Select all

Aye me ship was viperd, but I escaped when the cop was pythonized , by a freind of mine... Sadly he was Cobroided and Asploided soon after.. with me watching from a poddie... So do you know a way out lad

Reminds me of the Excellent Dave Allen sketch, which went something along the lines of:

"If retired priests are defrocked, are retired prostitutes delayed? Retired Secretaries defiled?" :D

The closest thing to an official developer blog is the Progress thread. It’s far from complete, though. The other devs are welcome to note their changes there too. ;-)

The Wiki page could use some screenshots. I'll provide a few.

You can't upload images to the wiki at the moment, or else it would have some ;)

That doesn't stop me from taking some screenshots. I'll be providing them in your thread in a moment.

But you can host them elsewhere and link to them... 8)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

But they don't appear as pictures in the wiki do they? Just the links, or have I been misinformed?

Hmmm.. now you mention it, I'm not sure.. thought I had recently seen one added that way, or maybe I just read that it could be done... dunno.. and it's too late tonight for me to test it..

I would be surprised if it could be, as that would be a rather large security hole for spam potentially...
