Disappearing planets

Post by zarkov »

Running version 1.72.2 on Windows XP, if the F12 full screen toggle is selected - going to or from full screen after leaving space station the planet diasappears. This will happen with the home planet or the one which appears after hyperdrive. The planet symbol still appears on the compass, despite no sign of the planet. This happens on my netbook and desktop. It didn't happen with V1.65 on the latter. :?

The planet did not disappear in 1.65, but there are other side effects from resizing the window, namely various texture corruptions.

In any case, this bug has been fixed by Kaks for v1.73.

I get that too - glad to hear it's been fixed. Today it happened, and a minute later then planet (Leoned I think) turned into this!

Bah - when I use [img] the post shows the text, not the image. Am I doing it wrong?

Box.net links are "downloads" rather than the image itself (which would end in .gif, .jpg, .png etc.)

So the img code realises this and finds nothing to display.

That's why so many of us use something like Photobucket instead which actually stores the image online so it can be displayed.

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the planet. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no planet.
Neo: There is no planet?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the planet that bends, it is only ooniverse.

Thanks for uploading. I just noticed the planet's translucent too - you can see the nebula through it.

I've got System Redux, but I assume this is still a glitch, not something in SR by design...
