Hawksound Sound Set

Post by Hawkstrom »

I've been working on these sounds for a while and thought I'd share them with you. Yes, it's yet another sweet indifferent female computer voice doing the talking ;-) . Also new laser sounds etc.. Actually I've replaced most of them.

Try them out and see if they are to your liking!

I've also added the Sound set to the wiki.

Heh, thanks. I got inspired by trying out the Custom Sounds OXP, and found out I wanted to make a set of my own. There's still some things to be done, the weapon sounds are not worked on enough - but I wanted to play with the idea of a continuous laser sound instead of the original *pew pew* ones.

Just noticed I messed up the alternating colors on the tables in the OXP wiki, so that's fixed.

Sounds

Cool sounds, installed and play-tested right away. Like the laser sound, the witchjump sound, the ships explosions sound especially well!

Cheers & welcome 8)

Just out of curiosity, how would one make a sound OXP? I've found a great many sounds that I'd want to use, but I'm not sure how I'd do it.

Hi welcome! Will try them out. I'm using my own souds now so before trying I have to backup.

@Stromboli
Long time no see. Welcome back. First you make the sound you want. Then convert the .wav to .ogg. Winlame can do this for example and then choose the right names for the sounds. 8)
