v1.69.1.1 test
Mac OS X.4.9
Too many oxp's to list.
In the middle of a qitiri-isinor computer whore route, tried to dock at the qutiri station, but couldn't get in front of the thing for fear of getting hit by this completely casual stream of upwards of 20 pythons, about one every 3 seconds. Just previous to this, literally during the jump from isinor, a message popped up to the effect of "Food destroyed [random sequence of about 10 numbers]."
This earns 4 honorary wtf points.
Anyways, new to the game, pointers and python-dodging tips appreciated. Great to see such an active and enthusiastic community, props to everyone involved in crafting this game.
Station continuously spits out pythons?

Hi, Melancoholic!
Welcome to our friendly board, and it's good to see you made through the main gate without being attacked by a Spam Assassin in an fit of abstention syndrome (good bacause it seems our present spamming level still hasn't kicked in on some users' space psychosis. Not that it has anything to do with me, of course not!)
About your bug report, I assume you saw the sticky?

You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

Re: Station continuously spits out pythons?
Hi, Melancoholic, and welcome to the boards and of course to this great game!
But, seriously, I personally never have encountered something like this. So it could have been just a very strange set of circumstances. I think however you should let us know if you could reproduce it.
Must have been a very nice view! (And seriously rises the question: What proft would have been in blowing them all up one by one and collecting the...errr...space garbage polluting the aegis? )Melancoholic wrote:... completely casual stream of upwards of 20 pythons, about one every 3 seconds.

Sadly I haven't seen anything like it since. Just one of those quirks the Ooniverse throws your way every so often. Though I wonder...
<Garth from Wayne's World trippy transition>
...if perhaps our beloved game has become so complex as to retain some of the intelligence and creativity put into it by oxp developers, thus evolving and running on its own to simulate a world more real than real life; a world where Python owners can congregate at a car-show-equivalent, and who knows what other possibilities? This begs the question: is this new and seemingly sentient Ooniverse recreating itself for good, or for evil? Could this Python show be nothing less than the harbinger of Oolite's impending destruction of the world as we know it?! We men who fancied ourselves gods have wrought our own damnation...
