Spam Assassins' Union class action motion

Comrades, our jobs are at risk. Even worse, our very profession is in danger of becoming obsolete!
Ever since the Administration changed from the CAPTCHA to the reCAPTCHA anti-spam system the amount of spammers fell to ZERO!

Of course, technology exists to ease our lives, but (call me a luddite if you want) should we allow this new trend of robotization to drive us to the dole lines?

Are we going to stand in silence when the very blood, gore and focalized wanton violence upon which we thrive is taken away from us?

Can we, in good conscience, endanger the civilian population by allowing this hardy collection of wholesomely psychotic spam assassins to suffer from abstention syndrome?!

I say NO!

Thus, I put forth to this assembly a motion to request the return of the old CAPTCHA system that allowed some (but not too many) spammers to unwittingly enter our kill zones and thus fall under our righteous weapons!
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

Hmmm. Strange poll.

No, I absolutely don't need to kill anything (or anyone, for that matter). I am perfectly happy with not having to post spammer's membership numbers. So my vote goes to "Peace at last!". :D 8)

And for all who can't stand the peace: Don't worry, sooner or later the spammers will have overcome our new barrier. Then it will be back to the job again.

I vote we all have a well deserved holiday at some anarchaic outpost and get hammered on Riedquat ale. Oh and some Whiskas or Kit-e-Kat for the captain.

Being very much a belated (and frankly unexpected -- not that I don't appreciate it!) addition to the Union, I find I don't miss the thrill of the chase, the ripple of light along the killing edge, the hiss of razor steel as it sweeps across an exposed neck, the hot scarlet pulse of arterial blood jetting high into the air, the amazing variety of postures a beheaded corpse can take up as it slumps to the earth... OK, maybe I miss it a little bit, but this is probably a mere respite. The swords will be unsheathed again, and soon enough, I'm sure!

I'm with the Gray-Haired one. Riedquatian ale and Kit-kats all round!
Down side is that Reno's gonna have to find himself a new avatar....maybe this:

Even the names of the last two ones as of now look suspicious, but I can't prove anything, so I don't report them.

Salute to the union.

I still remember the early days before the katana crowd, when we had to sneak up on the prey with can openers...

Not to mention the Second Great Spam War of a few months ago, when the clock tower was nearly overwhelmed.

...not to mention filled to the top and almost buried under used Vulcan ammo capsules...

On another matter:

You missed Winston, who 'founded' the thread (and so, in a way, also our union) in the first place!

Anyhow, it appears that my motion was rejected by the majority so far. All right, this is democraty in action, but i expected at least CH to endorse it enthusiastically...
That's just to see how misleading some felines can be!
