OK I am paranoid!

I use AVG for antivirus and it works fine and I agree with previous comments about Norton.

However I get fed up with spyware, and have been running AVG antispyware (because I am pleased with AVG antivirus), but haven't found it to be that good. I used to use Adaware and was going to go back to that, when I read about spy sweeper from Reils, so I did a test

did a scan with all 3.

AVG found 7 tracking cookies
adaware 18
spy sweeper 22

There were only a few duplicates and I counted 31 different ones altogether! Spy sweeper looks to be the best, but they want real money and between home and business I have 5 PC's

So what should I do?

And what about Rootkits, apparently they don't get picked up by normal antivirus software and supposedly are potentially very dangerous. Should I get specialist software to deal with them?

If only there was a "security for dummies" book!

I won't provide card details online now because of rootkits, so do I need men in white coats to comw and take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Grey Haired Commander has spoken!
OK so I'm a PC user - "you know whats scary? Out of billions of sperm I was the fastest"

It'd be outdated in less than six months.
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.
