Re: Docked HUDs OXP
Why would you want the kettle temp displayed??! It’s either off, in process of boiling, or at 100oC..!
Personally I’d rather cabin temp linked to my Hive system… then we can see how quick and how high my home heating can go up!

I've written about this before, but I'll re-iterate because I'm passionate about this subject. If your kettle only does off or 100C, you need to drag yourself into the 21st century; it's [the current year] and kettle temperature is a non-binary spectrum now. And, if you haven't experienced life with a wi-fi-enabled, internet-connected kettle, you might as well be living in a cave, you

Troglodyte perhaps?
A case of a traditionally more insulting word becoming relatively acceptable?

Contents of the kettle, surely?
And with the way the world is going, a cave might be a better bet.

Re: Docked HUDs OXP
As regards Docked HUDs it seems an immersive introduction for new players. And there are some nice little touches.
Only issue noticed so far is with changed HUDs using HUDSelector. On launch my changed HUD invariably reverts to vanilla.

Funnily enough, we need a new kettle (day to day we use a boiling water tap, I love it!) so maybe I’ll consider it! I also want to be able to have my smart lighting reflect my red alert status…Wildeblood wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 12:02 pmI've written about this before, but I'll re-iterate because I'm passionate about this subject. Nah-uh. Person of cavity. I've been an enthusiastic user of the "person of x" form ever since the day a former leader of the opposition (Bill Shorten from memory) took it to extreme as he, fearing the "othering" of disabled taxi-drivers, spoke of "Our taxi-drivers of disability."

How long are those contraptions good for? Are they designed to auto-kaputificate after a couple of years like everything else nowadays?

No idea! It was already installed when we moved here 3 years ago! I’m guessing it’s at least 6 years old.Cholmondely wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 8:45 pmHow long are those contraptions good for? Are they designed to auto-kaputificate after a couple of years like everything else nowadays?
