I tried again with same result. This time I was able to understand more of the message. It says "There is <something> on your ship. Then the
game stops responding to the keys.
The only additional OXP I have is "Utrumbled". Is there any other information I could provide ? Feel free to ask.

Please post the file Latest.log. Not sure where the Linux port stores it, but it is where everything gets logged. It may contain a hint of where it crashed. If you have launched the game since the last crash this file will have been overwritten. If so, then either see if the file Previous.log contains anything, or get it to crash again and then post Latest.log. Thank you.

Both Latest.log and Previous.log will be located /home/<username>/.Oolite/Logs/

I am sorry I removed the mod in order to see if I would be able to dock at Zaonce without crash. Indeed, it worked.

I had a freeze with this mod too, but after waiting for a while and clicking once in the frozen game window, it eventually un-froze. I'm guessing it's this mod that is responsible because the JS console showed two lines from this mod just before the freeze. In my case, it was when docking at Lave. I had come from Zaonce where I accepted a cargo transfer mission from the Frontier BBS. However when I accepted it, I had 1t in my cargo hold, so it told me that I couldn't take the mission because my hold was not empty. I tried again, with the same failure notice. Then I checked my manifest and saw that I had two missions to transport a full cargo hold of furs to Lave for zero credits. So, that's a separate issue that might be related.
Anyway, when I went to dock at Lave, the JS console showed this:

It seems I hit a bug in the current one: a "contact" mission. I've contacted the remote medical team that hadn't checked in, reminded them, they said they would check in with the home base, but then the mission was not marked as complete, and every time I enter the BBS it goes to the final screen of that meeting.
It looks like the game also hung upon docking in a new system after that, so I uninstalled the oxp.

I've read the posts about the issues, I've never had the game freezing but i'll check the mod as soon as possible with multiple attempts to reproduce the issue. Maybe there is some unintendend code loop that I overlooked, I'll reread the code and do more in-game tests!

Ive done a few days playing with this mod and love it. It adds a lot more flavour to the world unfortunately I kept getting crashes and had to remove it(normally while docking) Any news on a solution?

I have both "Life in the Frontier" as well as "Life in the Frontier - REVIVAL", and recently, I found that although the BBS is still located on my F4 screen, when I push to access the BBS, I get nothing. Also, I remember when I could walk out of the ship and wander around the station. This does not seem to work any longer. Is there something that is blocking LITF?

I would think that having both the old and new versions installed is a potential conflict. I'd suggest, at a minimum, only installing one at a time.
As for support for this OXP, BeeTLe BeTHLeHeM hasn't been around here since October last year, so he might not be available in the short term. He did disappear once before and came back again, so he might be around again. You never know.

@phkb, I do appreciate your responses! In starting a new game, both LITF as well as REVIVAL loaded with on issues, and I was able to access the BBS. I installed only LitF REVIVAL (not original LitF) and get problem with specialCargo, ( "(BBS) A shipment of ..." in F5F5 and full cargo).
To repeat:
- Take allowed count of missions (maxActiveMissions = parseInt(Math.abs(pFeedback) / 25) + 1;)
- Agree on cargo mission with empty cargo
- the code in LITF_BBS.js at 887 will insert specialCargo("(BBS) A shipment of ...") so take all your space away
- on line 894 it realize no more missions allowed, so it set agree=false
- with agree==false the rest is skipped, so no mission is created and no trigger for removing special cargo exists.
Solution - test number of mission as first thing and stop there. Continue only if mission may be agreed on, to test and ask for more cargo space etc.

I was away for an eternity, unfortunately real life takes away a lot of time and I'm not so young anymore.
Nevertheless, I'm going to upload the source code to Github to work on fixes and some more content in a more organized way.
I'll check the code and implement your suggestion. If there are other bugs, please write them, it's much appreciated!
