It is also interesting that a renewal is still priced at the same amount as it was before. Which could mean if Ahruman came back and asked for the domain.... But that is unlikely to happen.

No. After the pendingDelete status, the previous owner has nothing to do with the domain.

I worked for a while at a domain registrar, I developed a logic that evaluates the cost of domains by title and keywords... for some domains $(n*10)k is normal... and some cost $(n*100)k

I don't know why anyone would want oolite.org - obviously the community will lose interest in it after a short amount of time.

If you (everyone who is active in the oolite life) support moving to oolite.space, then so be it.
We can organize domain names the way we want - for example, bb.oolite.space as a forum alias, wiki.oolite.space as a wiki alias, etc.

Domain registration can be transfer to CloudFlare, where accounts can be created for anyone willing to watch and pay for the domain... Just one point... for example, now I can prepay a domain for 5 years, and next year for another 5 years... (I'm really ready to do this) and all DNS records management will be on the CF. If we transfer the domain registration to the CF, I won't be able to pay for it... Life forces us to solve issues that we don't want :(

If it is for too long, then everyone in this community will have forgotten about the deal. And the same events will repeat - the domain gets lost and another one has to be built up. Let's stick to shorter intervals without getting too tedious.
