It worked with the full url yesterday for me immediately after timer added addons.oolite.org to the list of recognizable virtual hosts and I was able to get the oxz list from within the game, so it looks like something must have gone wrong shortly after.

Edit: I had also successfully downloaded the oxz list twice by hitting the addons.oolite.space/api/1.0/overview page directly from the browser. I am positive that it was working for a while.

When I try that, I'm getting the 404 page at 30th/ 22:00

Insert the Linux key / value pair as shown below and it should take it:

Code: Select all

<key>oolite</key>
    <dict>
	<key>detailLevel</key>
	<integer>3</integer>
	<key>fullscreen</key>
	<string>YES</string>
	<key>gamma-value</key>
	<real>1</real>
	<key>oxz-index-url</key>
	<string>http://addons.oolite.space/api/1.0/overview</string>
	<key>volume_control</key>
	<real>0.5</real>
    </dict>

Adding the lines in this way does hold upon checking the file in a text editor after exiting Oolite but sadly the oxz list still fails to update in game.

For the record, service has been restored as of April 1st 2023 and the instructions should be valid again.

Just gave it a try and all is working as it has in the past. A Hearty Thank You to all involved in getting the Website and the Expansion Manager up and running again. It is truly appreciated.

May depend on who's looking...and from where, because of DNS routes not always working.

Works for me from ComCast...

Maybe not. It had been down for me earlier - when I first saw Arquebus's post.

It's back up for me, too, but it was down for a couple of days.

oh... should have told me right away :(
I just discovered today that the original server(oolite.org) stopped accepting requests from my server(oolite.space) - what happened, I don't know :(
In log found that it began 8 April.

Code: Select all

2023/04/08 18:54:47 [error] 125199#125199: *53838 connect() failed (110: Connection timed out) while connecting to upstream, client: 2.12.64.24, server: oolite.space, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://195.74.38.129:80/", host: "oolite.space"
A few minutes ago I tried to set up a direct download of the package list for the manager from my server.
But now if somebody change OXP by admin panel of origin server - addons.oolite.space will be hold old version.

Сan anyone confirm that downloading the package list from addons.oolite.space works now?

Was able to download the Expansion Manager list from within Oolite. Unfortunately cannot get to the site as it gives the following error.

Code: Select all

504 Gateway Time-out nginx

Yes - it is response timeout from origin server :(
My VPS just proxy, that forward request to origin server by ip with replacing domain name to oolite.org, but now - origin server not respond to requests from my VPS :(

Folk, what do you think - maybe toggle the oolite.space domain to my devel version of the site (http://dev2.oolite.site), than to get an error? I'll try ASAP implement OXP table in "Expansion Packs" section.

PS if u going look at dev2.oolite.site - plz clear browser cache!

Let the old site and the server RIP. There is no point watching that ooniverse collapse - and we all know that event is inevitable.
