You're absolutely right it is an embedded flash movie. The basic layout of the site is a simple html located in middle layer, the flash is embedded by jquery and it's located in the lower layer. The objects animation on the radar is made on jquery technology too and located in the upper layer.

Nah. That would depend very much on how you defined "world". As far as Google Maps is concerned, my surroundings here don't really seem to belong to it (although it is getting better in the last months; they even have started to print some not-absolutely-major roads (like: something which is not an international highway; whether they got them right, however, is an entirely different question , and the satellite images and the engine-drawn roads are still about a thumb's width on the screen off)). And if there were websites written in any of the vernaculars spoken around here, no googling would help you to understand/translate even a word of it.

Well, Google translates more or less normally from Russian into English. I've expected a worse situation. The only wrong thing, as for me, it doesn't run jquery correctly. For example "Ссылки" (Links), "Tеги" (Tags) and "Бортовой журнал" (Flight Log) does not work under the power of Google

•SOTL Exploration - scenario game (unfinished) - explore for materials using a gravity scanner and a spectroscope - and with a much more dangerous hyperspace jump.

•ChupacabraHUD - features a Missile Pylon identifier (there are over 30 different icons for these)
•Vimana HUD - a new HUD with warning signs for low altitude, low energy etc. Very helpful for new players.

Mechanics:
•Route Planner OXP - more sophisticated use of the ANA, allowing for many different destinations

Miscellaneous:
•Her Imperial Majesty's Space Navy‎‎ (HIMSN) - a much more modest alternative to the Galactic Navy (more in keeping with the Classic Elite game): a handful of hidden stations in a few galaxies, and the much-smaller navy ignores pirates, focusing on fighting the Thargoids out in interstellar space.

Ships/Textures:
•Iron Ass OXP - Murgh returned from the wilderness and wrote this suite of OXP's (5 volumes + new edition of Lave + new edition of Missionaries + new edition of his Witchpoint Buoy (for poor systems only).
•Normal and Specular+Gloss Maps for Oolite v1.88+ - better textures for Vanilla game ships (needs better graphics of newer Oolite - 110Mb)
•Refugee Adder - Murgh's old OXP but with more interaction (needs the newest version of BroadcastComms MFD)
•Z GrOovy HPC pack - "new" versions of the Cobra Mk III and the Sidewinder with bits that move!

Systems:
•Paddling Pool - for new players - creates a much safer area to the west of Lave for the Diso-Leesti milk run

I seem to have difficulties posting things using Google Translate. I tried to post it in Обсуждение игры и OXP - in one of the appropriate threads there. The post is just trying to alert the Roolite community to other oxp's of which they might be unaware.

If you can indeed put it up, that would be super, "Thank You"!


I rather feel that I posted the note about a Russian translation for "Hints.oxp" in the wrong thread. It seems a miracle that that posting worked at all!

I found Seventh's "comments" on the oxp's more informative than those on our wiki.



Killer Wolf's Hathor Trade Station (needs a major rework of its lore to fit in with Stranger's World - it is supposed to be situated at the sun, offering cheap deals in food, etc):

And the newer "chatty ships" include Missionaries, Refugee Adder, Boyracer & Scrub (all in Murgh's Iron Ass OXP's - but there are also new high-poly versions of the Refugee Adder and Missionaries)
