Hi All,
There's a bug whereby certain planets cause ships to spawn in space over and over again. I found this at Beused on Map 2 and I think this respawn thing has been covered.
However, if you drop a mine into the middle of them and blast out of range, you can score a kill for each press of the '5' key (flips between Commander and Cargo screens).
It's quite easy to add several hundred kills doing this - has it been mentioned before?

I don't recall this before in terms of q-mining and switching screens, that's a completely new cheat! Well done for finding it. There's a similar "cheat" you can do in assassins, using an energy bomb and escape pod, which has been mentioned, but ultimately you are only depriving yourself of the satisfaction of becoming Elite the real way!distortal wrote:However, if you drop a mine into the middle of them and blast out of range, you can score a kill for each press of the '5' key (flips between Commander and Cargo screens).

The Grey Haired Commander has spoken!
OK so I'm a PC user - "you know whats scary? Out of billions of sperm I was the fastest"

I confess, I was exploiting the 'Spawning Ships' bug to bump up the kills by 30 or so
I kept pressing 5 because your kill total doesn't increase in realtime, and before long I realised I'd added a hundred kills when I couldn't possibly have destroyed that many ships with one mine.
The game (Windows version) does quit out on you if you try and add too many using this method, so you can't go zero-to-Elite using it
