Bug ( or tweak ) on pylon mounted cargo

Post by Slartibartfast »

i had bought 10to "cargo on pylon" for my former ship.
and fired ( launched) it accidentally in a battle.

and this happened.
- the 10to cargo extension explodes like a quirium mine ( strange )
- the pylon is free ( as expected )
- the 10to more cargo space remains ( nice  )

Well, I've not quite had this. I don't buy these.

But I do buy the pylon-mounted fuel tanks. Being useless in combat, I often "fire" my fuel tanks by mistake when I'm in extremis (but am then too preoccupied to really notice what I'm up to!). However, just last night, I was attacked by the Tiger Gang (from the Hotrods OXP) on arrival after a long-distance jump, and needless to say (with Hard Way running) needed fuel to use my injectors (or to do much of anything else, really). When I activated my Fuel Tank, blow me down if it did not look as though I'd fired it instead! But it worked... it did transfer the requisite 3 ly of fuel into my main tank.

Hi

I think thats the ẃay, how that fuel tank should work / activate by launching )*
)* my "missile machine" also works in that way

but that cargo extension has no need to be activated - it works without that

AND the 10to still remains, if you sell it at a station
( and you can buy again and then you have 20to -- i don't tried that for 30to..... . )

cheers

Good morning Matthias,
we briefly discussed this topic at https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?p=279602#p279602. The OXP certainly has bug(s) included but is, unfortunately, currently unmaintained.
