Submitting OXPs....Oosat behaviour

Post by drew »

I've just updated my tianve oxp a little (minor bug fix) and previewed a few times before I was happy with it...

When I submitted it, it disappeared.

I presume it's gone back into an 'approval queue'.

I can appreciate that a newly submitted oxp gets this approval treatment, but is it necessary for modifications to OXPs to also need this? Seems like a lot of extra work for the admin and a long delay to people getting the updated OXP.

Cheers,

Drew.

I suspect that the re-approval might be handy if it is possible that someone else might be editing your oxp and adding in stuff that might hurt the downloader...

I'm not sure whether this is a bit too secure for our current situation, or just good thinking. Greater minds may be at work here... :?

I assumed (other than the admins) I was the only one who could modify 'my' OXP - maybe this isn't the case.

Certainly on the previous Oosat2 you only had to wait to be approved as a member, not everytime you modified your page...

Cheers,

Drew.

Oh, I think you are still the only one able to modify your entry - provided that someone else hasn't got a hold of your password. That's what I was thinking of when I wrote the above comments on ultra-high security...
