OXP/OXZ are handled alphabetically
Except when they aren't...

I think on Windows this might be true, but I don't it's true on Linux or Mac. Also consider that OXZ's in the ManagedAddons folder will (I think) be loaded before any OXP/OXZ's in the AddOns folder.

However, giving your custom OXP the name "zzz.myname.oxp" is probably the best attempt you can make to get your OXP loaded last.
Thank you, you are right, since I mainly using Windows I was strictly thinking this way. I hardly use Linux or Mac but I believe both loading in a kind of unpredictable way. According to the log ManagedAddons are loaded before AddOns. So please consider my suggestion as for Windows only, no guarantees for other OS.

Can you explain this statement in more details?
Unix based OS such Linux or OS X are case-sensitive, but in OS X except this moment I always have just described order in log file:
All OXZs in alphabetical order
and following
All OXPs in alphbetical order.
Not remembering any exceptions.

I think I can contribute here with what my own experiences revealed.

@Commander_X
Thank you for explanation!
So it is Linux related issue. OS X seems safe in these terms IMHO.

And here a Mega-Vortex with 10 laser-mounts. . .
Wow. . . That's probably overkill, but if the Heart of Gold can have so many lasers. . .

I'm much obliged to you. Can I ask as to the best manner of tweaking the mount points? Is this simply a case of changing to an external view in game and looking to see where the lasers are / where they're fired from?

Thanks,

Sorry for the late reply, somehow I missed your message. While multiple lasers look cool I always had problems with centering them. 2 lasers in close positions work well but obviously they are not separated. Any unequal number of laser will try to center on the middle one, not always successful. I think Norby got the most experience with this topic, maybe he could help.
