OK, another list: name five different rulers of *multi-planet empires*, from five different SF universes.

No piddly single-planet monarchs allowed … ideally we're looking for heads of empires that span light-years. Also, they must be named: "the Emperor of X" is not enough.

Elizabeth III (full name Elizabeth Adrienne Samantha Annette Winton), Queen and Empress of Manticore, was the sixteenth reigning monarch of the Star Kingdom of Manticore, and the first reigning monarch of the Star Empire of Manticore.
The formal borders of the Star Empire include twenty member systems, thirty-four protectorate systems, and the wormhole junction, with seven mapped termini, bringing the total number of inhabited planets to twenty-two.

And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Zaphod Beeblebrox, president of the Hitch-hiker's Galaxy of the Guide.
Despite the preponderance of Monarchs and Emperors so far, the word is "rulers".

But is he a ruler? He's just a figurehead, with no political power at all: his purpose is to distract people, and draw their attention away from whoever is actually in control.
“Very very few people realise that the President and the Government have virtually no power at all, and of these few people only six know whence ultimate political power is wielded. Most of the others secretly believe that the decision-making process is handled by a computer. They couldn't be more wrong.”
I don't think I can allow Beeblebrox, sorry. While I can think of at least one possible answer which wouldn't fit the whole crown/throne/legions etc. mould of an emperor, I think any definition of a ruler should involve actual, significant power.

Sorry so interfere Disembodied, you might have missed the message of Commander_X, just in case game universes are allowed.

Oops! My apologies to Commander_X. Game universes are definitely allowed, and Arcturus Mengsk fits the bill. Commander_X wins!

Honored!

Question: who is a "coloured" commonality in Farscape, Stargate SG1, and Mass Effect.

At a guess, Claudia Black. I know she's in Stargate and Farscape

(FX checks Wikipedia)

OK, she has Mass Effect credits too, so I'm pretty sure it's her.

And one of her names is definitely a "colour" (or lack of for the nit-pickers) which obviously further qualifies the answer!

Have at it, ffutures!
