Greg Stafford, one of the all-time greats of game design, died on Thursday. He's responsible for Runequest, Call of Cthulhu, and a whole shedload of other games based on the Basic Role Playing system used for Runequest, including the Ringworld SF game and was of course founder of Chaosium Inc. which published them. I wrote for him a few times and met him at several conventions, and he was always a pleasure to talk to. He'll be greatly missed.
