I've just confirmed a bug, which only affects players using HUDs such as MilHUD 4000 and others which show a simplified HUD while docked. Most HUDs, including Oolite's default, are not affected. If you're in flight, go to the short range chart (F6) screen, and at the moment you leave that screen the HUD changes to the docked HUD, Galactic Hyperdrive OXP has caused it.

To reproduce, or avoid, this bug:
1. While docked, press F6, F6, F6 to see the image of the next galaxy.
2. Go directly to a different screen (not F6 again for the galactic chart), or launch. (Press F6 again to return to the galactic chart screen, and you'll be safe.)
3. While in flight, press F6 to view the short-range chart.
4. As you leave the short-range chart screen, the HUD will change from your in-flight HUD to your docked HUD.

I think/hope/expect/believe Galactic Hyperdrive OXP version 1.1.2 fixes the above-mentioned bug.

Hello. I don't actually know if it's GH that does this but since the update (I am fairly sure) the self-repair system activates after a g-jump to fix the naval hyperdrive programmer. I presume the naval system switches off as there's no galactic hyperdrive, then the SRS tries to fix it. As mentioned, I am fairly sure that it's recent behaviour, I don't remember seeing it before, although it might conceivably be to do with the pack-of-ten recharge thing for the SRS rather than GH. Rich.

If you want to block repair bots fixing things, just add script_info = { thargoidRepairBotChance = 0; }; to the items equipment.plist entry.

Version 1.1.3 includes new, bonus planet! Now 33 systems: added Usralaat in galaxy 1.

This seems to have a conflict with the Escort Contracts OXP if you go to look at the map and then try to re-access 'Escort Contracts', you get stuck on the galatic map page F6, the work around I use is to launch (only thing that seems to function and then I autodock, to be spaceways tidy, before closing and reopening Oolite).

The other work around is spacial awareness of the galaxy or consult an online map but this detracts from gameplay for me...
Oolite is Ooheavy... Cpt says "Write on Commander"

At the moment, Wildeblood has removed all his OXPs from circulation as he updates them for 1.77. A few have already been updated and re-released, so give it some time and it should be back online.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

I would instead see the Map of G1 overlaid with that of G8 (the Galaxy which I would currently be in, plotting my jump to G8)
Yeah, I really want that bug fixed. (next map overlaid with previous one typically in short range mode)
I've even tried to fix it myself by forcing a different screen or blank screen to be displayed when showing the Galactic Chart...but probably the only thing that might work is to make it a mission briefing screen.
And resizing the bloody maps to match the long range chart...either way, it's going to be HARD to read!

Should be a core game option to get a fullscreen map instead of using maybe 1/3 of it when set to 1920x1080 res or higher!

I especially want the Short-Range chart to be most of the screen...piecing together the misjump shortcut routes was not fun!
Some of those were made more than 10 years ago and look awful/dated and I'm too lazy currently to update them.
