The 'lovely places to visit' focus switches to Scotland...
Dundee has been ranked alongside Shanghai, Madagascar and the Faroe Islands as one of 10 "hot destinations" by The Wall Street Journal.
I'm trying to imagine my hometown, Pajero Central, being ranked as a 'hot destination'. <guffaws>
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

The Scottish legal profession has an informal classification system which recognises three different types of murder. The Glasgow Murder is an argument, usually between friends, which goes too far; the Edinburgh Murder is long in the planning and sudden in the execution; and the Dundee Murder is something wholly unexpected, most notable for its vivid and baroque excess.

Police are hunting a man dressed as Jesus who assaulted a fellow Halloween reveller dressed as a Jedi Knight in Dundee.

But the FCC's chairman Ajit Pai has suggested the move will foster innovation and encourage ISPs to invest in faster connections for people living in rural areas.

He refers to the change as "restoring internet freedom".

Awesome! With thinking like that, it should be a snap to convince him I can sell him the Sydney Harbour Bridge at a bargain-basement price....
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

From a flight aboard the Vomit Comet...
One unfortunate chap, who hadn't followed advice on what to eat and drink beforehand, was spectacularly ill – quite a sight to behold both in zero-g and also when gravity returned, with his lunch making a sudden splashdown.

People who deny the existence of dragons are often eaten by dragons. From within.

dogecoin […] started in late 2013 as a joke inspired by the shiba inu dog meme. But so many people adopted it that it has become a valuable commodity – with a market capitalisation of $500m (down from $1bn in early January).
A female traveller was recently banned from taking a large "emotional-support peacock" on board a United Airlines flight, it has emerged.
Twelve camels have been disqualified from Saudi Arabia’s annual camel beauty contest after receiving botulinum toxin injections to make their pouts look more alluring.
Maybe it's just me, but I have the feeling that human civilisation may have jumped the shark.

That said, The Emotional-Support Peacocks would be a good name for an indie band.
