Re: Screenshots
It is the Iguana from the Staer9 ship set. Currently my favorite ship for beauty screens. If you go back in the thread you will find plenty more featuring it.RusJameson wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2017 5:39 pmanother_commander, what is that ship on your last screenshots ? looks so cool)

Ribior main is in the clear!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Re: Screenshots
Talking about screenshots. The Oolite Screenshots web page has been updated with many of the shots shared in this thread.
Unfortunately many are lost due to image hosts changed policies.
Check it out.
Please, consider the following:
Thank you all for sharing your Oolite moments!
EDIT 2017.10.04 [#1]
Every web page refresh brings a random group of 9 shots.
EDIT 2017.10.04 [#2]
If you own a shot and would like to share a descriptive title, please, add it to the below collaborative spreadsheet.

Please, consider the following:
- If for whatever reason you want a shot of yours removed, just let me know; no hard feelings!
- If you have a higher resolution version form the one in the site, please, share a link!
- I will be sharing (in this post) a collaborative spreadsheet for anyone that can help to add some description for the shots.

Re: Screenshots
The basic game pics: now that P3D is in, Maraus should be removed.
Have a pic of Lave taken in strict mode (with 1.85) to replace it.

Re: Screenshots
Thanks for noting that! Considering that is in the trunk releases, we will have to remember this upon the next stable release.
EDIT
Shared Lave screenshot saved!

Re: Screenshots
Cool idea, just a "show all" link also would be good below the images.

Re: Screenshots
Something must be definitely done on that matter.
This calls for smaller-sized, preferably in jpeg format, thumbnails for all images.
Some code tweaking will be needed, though. Currently thumbnails must be in the same format as the target image.
I will have a look at it.

Re: Screenshots
... or you can put at the bottom of the Screenshots page something like "Refreshing the page will bring in a new set of screenshots" and leave it at that. The Show All proposal is not bad at all, but I kind of like the idea that a site visitor stays on Screenshots page for good while, exploring what is there and being surprised whenever a new one pops up. Plus, smaller thumbnails might not really look as good as the current ones.

Hmmm... kinda like that feeling too!another_commander wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2017 9:48 am...but I kind of like the idea that a site visitor stays on Screenshots page for good while, exploring what is there and being surprised whenever a new one pops up...
Let me clarify that when I talked about smaller thumbnails, I was referring to their filesize while keeping a decent image quality.
Yesterday, I stumbled upon the following fact. We now have 53 png thumbnails with a total size of 3.5MB and sizes as big as 150K (!!!).
I definitely want to fix this in any case!
Guys 'n' gals... we got too serious in here!
Post some screenies to re-rail this train!

If you insist: Tilala is reasonably noted for its Etonle brandy.
