I heard that lots of people find the game interesting but are unable to play. Some my friends tried this game couple of times but were unsuccessful !
The most painful is the laser tactic. It is very difficult for the beginner to learn how to use aft laser with forward, nevemind port and starboard lasers.
What about special changes, that will make the life of the newcomers easier - possibility to uses all lasers. This requires kbd, mouse and stick to react as if it is forward laser except the impact of the actual ship motion.
Looks like more than 10 oxps solve this problem by improving 'single laser tactic' such as equalizers or shield balancers, capacitors, laser switchers and etc.
To tell the truth, I've been playing for more than 2 years, but still can't use aft laser during the most of battles. The worst thing, once I learned how to use aft, but since then I spent almost a year flying on the adder. This summer I come back to anaconda and discovered that I need to learn aft laser once again. I can't believe that skill disappeared at all

The Aft laser isn't really a dog-fighting weapon. Using it to pick off following enemies as you 'retreat' is probably the most common use, but if you tend to charge enemies while firing the fore laser, switch to aft as you whizz past them and continue firing
Also, it can be very useful (with a Mil laser) for long distance sniping. If you have a group of enemies to deal with, keep your distance and switch between fore and aft lasers.
Regarding aiming the aft laser, well that's just practice. If you do enough it gets pretty easy very quickly.

I understand. The most difficult thing was t learn such switch, because the sides become swiched.Smivs wrote:The Aft laser isn't really a dog-fighting weapon.
