[RELEASE] SKS Plasma Mark I
From Silver Knight Shipyards on Diqudi in chart 3 comes the Plasma Mark I, a small multi-roll craft designed primarily for a pilot who is trying to make a living in the business of passenger carrying, and who, to be able to get contracts, must take the ones through more dangerous systems than most pilots would be willing to. From it's speed of 0.4 LM to it's patented SpaceCamo(tm), it is a craft that, wherever you go, assassins would have a hard time spotting you.

What does it look like? Please provide better screenshots!
Re: [RELEASE] SKS Plasma Mark I
It is rather dark, so it is hard to get a good screenshot of it ingame. However, I do have a few from the viewer I use while I am working on the texture.JazHaz wrote:What does it look like? Please provide better screenshots!
How are those?

I think "rather dark" is an apt summary.SirArian wrote:How are those?
I also think I'm gonna pass on this one. For me Oolite is a visual game. Making things only barely visible kind of defeats the purpose. (Personal opinion only.)
Re: [RELEASE] SKS Plasma Mark I
It was supposed to be a stealth ship, but I understand completely. That's the great thing about OXPs, if you don't like it, you don't have to install it, rather than it being built into the game. My next release (coming soon!) will also be rather dark on three sides, (top, bottom and front) but the two after that are going to be lighter.Commander McLane wrote:I think "rather dark" is an apt summary.SirArian wrote:How are those?

Re: [RELEASE] SKS Plasma Mark I
I don't think making a dark ship will help the player. NPCs will still hit you no matter what colour you are. And if you give this ship to NPCs then they will be nearly impossible to see against the stars for the player. This will make the game far harder.
Not a ship I will be having in my Ooniverse.

Re: [RELEASE] SKS Plasma Mark I
With nebulae and lighting, you may be surprised actually how visible that ship might be.
It looks reasonably similar to my Barracuda fighters in both size and colouration, and those are actually reasonably visible. Indeed with a highly nebulous system it may be that they're quite visible by what they obscure rather than what they themselves can be seen as.

<nods> Indeed! I rather like its colour too - purple is cool.Thargoid wrote:... with a highly nebulous system it may be that they're quite visible by what they obscure rather than what they themselves can be seen as.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
