Fantastic Books Kickstarter

Post by drew »

Ladies, Gentlemen, Trumbles, Felines, Humans, Canines, Oresrians, Lobstoids and assorted invertibrates, Squids, Bugs, Arthropods, Bicuspids, Anerobic, Gelatinous, non-corporeal beings and all other denizens of the Ooniverse...

We're certifiable, but you knew that anyway. It's Christmas-time so obviously we needed another Kickstarter. It's another mad hair brained scheme (not started by Gimi this time however! :D ).

The four Fantastic Books authors are combining forces into a single Kickstarter aimed at produce paperbacks, hardbacks, boxset and signed special editions of our official Elite books + professionally produced audiobook versions

For those of you who backed E: Dangerous you can get all the ebooks as part of a £25 pledge, and if you backed me or any of the other authors you can join at the same £25 tier and get all four audiobook as a reward.

You helped me achieve a dream last year and I'm forever grateful. If you can help me out again, it would be marvellous. We're all trying to make this year of Elite returning as special as it can be.

So, eat bat discos....

...erm

...Write on, Commanders!

Drew.

ps. I've smuggled a bunch of Oolitey stuff past the censors in E:R... just don't tell anyone!

So how many other Ooliters are in on the new Kickstarter?

I'm going to have to let Dan sort out my Veteran uplift - since I've pledged for boxed set of four hardbacks but already pledged for paperbacks of Drew's and Allen Stroud's books (and I have two versions of Fusion already (Kindle and a Smashwords (which he gave me for free when I spotted a typo on the day the eBook came out))

45 Hours! That's how much time there is left for YOU to make a difference! The most exciting Kickstarter of all time - with crazy updates every day - is reaching its finale.

The linked chart lets you see what different pledge levels get you (= a lot of stuff even for the minimum of £1 pledge!). There are other pledge levels in addition to these, however, so take your pick! Take it wisely! Take it now!

By participating, you will be helping to bring new audio books to the world! These books will make it possible for dyslexic etc. to enjoy stories that they would otherwise not have access to.

And the campaign can be found here:

Every pound counts!

If the KS accepted other forms of payment, not only credit cards, and if I had the money... :(

Fifth book just entered the Fantastic Books fold, meaning that the Kickstarter now offers access to 5 books instead of 4 on the same pledge levels as before.

The latest author is Kate Russell, who - I take it - has some following in the UK.
Author of Tales from the Frontier - official Elite 4 anthology.
Author of Marcan Rayger adventures - unofficial fan-fic novellas set in the Frontier universe.

I didn't do it!

When I looked at it yesterday, it was at about £33.750. But when my pledge was managed, it had already gone over £34.000. As it's not too much over the amount even now, it seems there was a small competition for being the backer to make it funded. And I was just a little too late.

Congratulations, by the way! :D
