Wormholes

I have recently bought a wormhole scanner, but can't find a wormhole so that it can be used.Help!

Depending on the system, you may have to loiter in the station aegis for a while, waiting for an outbound ship to launch.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

This is the sort of thing to look out for (and the info you get with that equipment). Note that this was an unusual event, so the collapse time is very long. Normally its only a few minutes, depending on the size of the ship that jumped.

Wormholes are generated by ships leaving the system. Normally this only happens near the main station.

Wait for a launching trader, follow him, scan his wormhole when he jumps. And if the destination suits you, follow him through the wormhole. Otherwise, wait till the next launching ship creates a new wormhole, or spend fuel to create your own wormhole.
