Just to give other people the fun of finding things out for themselves.

Got the BCC, made some money, traded in for an Asp II, got the kills up, traded back to a BCC because I will need cargo space and fuel scoops for a bit, then looking to trade for another Asp II ideally with a Naval Energy Unit.

Bear in mind that when buying ships with pre-installed equipment that is not regularly available at the local tech level, you have to pay a big bonus for such equipment.

...and also that a NEU is restricted military tech. If you have bought a ship pre-fitted with one but have not earned one through services to the military it cannot be repaired if damaged. In this event you will only be offered a replacement Extra Energy Unit.
