Adding links to your signature strip and creating Wiki pages
Is anyone able to advise me how I can incorporate a link on my signature strip to my OXP downloads ?

In the User Control Panel at the top right of the BB, then on the left click profile. Then Edit signature. Then just throw the link in.Shipbuilder wrote:Is anyone able to advise me how I can incorporate a link on my signature strip to my OXP downloads ?

Re: Adding links to your signature strip
Shipbuilder - it'd be better to have all your OXPs in one Box folder, then just one link to that folder in your sig, and punters can link and choose which OXP they want.
As the number of your OXPs grow, it'll be far easier that way (or even better, set a wiki page up and list them there).

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

There is plenty of people here who can help you with that if need be.

Hmm, I ain't too sure about that... clarity of thought is proving somewhat elusive these days!Fatleaf wrote:Good thinking EV, but saying that we wouldn't expect anything less

Re: Adding links to your signature strip
@Shipbuilder the sig might look better if you use the buttons for the links so it looks something like:
Colonial Viper Mark 1
Constitution Class Heavy Cruiser
Cylon Raider Mk1 ship bundle
People could then see which link goes to what oxp.
You could C&P it from here

Or from above
Just a warning: the sign has a maximum of characters and all the 'invisible characters in the link are counted also. So you already might hit the ceiling when using above, better looking, code.

Re: Adding links to your signature strip
Thanks gents for your suggestions and advice.
I'm just about at the maximum character limit therefore I won’t be able to add any additional oxp links using the system I have at the moment.
Therefore I think the setting up of a wiki page option seems the best way forward (This is something that I have thought of in the past and have got an account set up via Maik).
I haven’t made any progress on this however due to being busy with the OXPs that I have release and to be honest not having a clue where to start.
If there is anyone who can help me with the basics to get me started with a simple page incorporating the oxp download links it would be much appreciated. I’m sure that once I learn the fundamentals I will be able to develop the page in to something more detailed over time.

I'm sure there'll be a willing wiki wizard along shortly. Re character limit in the sig: I seem to recall a max of three urls anyway.Shipbuilder wrote:If there is anyone who can help me with the basics to get me started with a simple page incorporating the oxp download links it would be much appreciated.

Re: Adding links to your signature strip
The sensible thing to do would be to create a user page. You can browse through the user list and click on any blue name (disregard the obvious spammers). My own user page is linked from my sig.Shipbuilder wrote:If there is anyone who can help me with the basics to get me started with a simple page incorporating the oxp download links it would be much appreciated. If you come across a page that you like, just copy and paste its structure into your own user page.
The most simple way to create your own user page is to log in and then click on your name at the top of any page. This will create an empty page. As soon as you write some text in it and save it, it exists.
Re: Adding links to your signature strip
This is what I've done, although its a work in progress as tonight I intend to incorporate dertian's retextured Griff models into my Taxi Galactica OXP, and I'm also working on a mission OXP so details of that will soon start to appear on there too. I also, as I've seen others do, posted some small details of what I'm currently doing in the ooniverse, apart from preying on innocent traders and police ships!

I wouldn't claim to be a wizard but my Wiki Foo is strong enough to set up a page with all your oxp links in it.El Viejo wrote:I'm sure there'll be a willing wiki wizard along shortly. Have a think what you would like to say about yourself and any pictures, screenshot or the like you may or may not want. have a look through other users pages to get some inspiration then send me what you want via a PM and I will get it sorted for you.
