I hope I didn't sound too harsh above, generally I appreciate your work a lot.
No of course not. I like things to the point. Normally it is me that is too sharp. I just said how I saw it, you were right! I am just a bit tired these days. Nothing a good nights sleep wont help with
And HEY!!! What do you mean by "generally"?!?!?!
Find out about the early influences of Fatleaf here. Also his OXP's!

Thanks to you all for your hard work on this - its a great resource!
I'm considering upgrading my ship (current a PCC) to something a little more friendly for manual docking and was wondering if it was possible to have some sort of column (along the lines of the "No mil shields" etc) to show what stations the ship is manually dockable at - E.g. an "S" for regular stations, "R" for rock hermits and "G" for galactic navy ones.
I appreciate that new stations can be added all the time so it could be a nightmare to keep up to date unless its possible to auto generate from the ship dimensions and station appature size. (I've no experience of wiki programming so not even sure if this is possible )
Just a thought anyway, if it's not possible I can resort to plan B - common sense and research

Basically, expect to have trouble docking it if it's more than 130m wide (the Cobra III is about at the limit of Rock Hermits) or more than about 60m high (the Anaconda, for instance, is about at the limit).
The vast majority of stations, except rock hermits, have a dock which is at least the standard size (192x64) so you don't need to consider them all separately.
Back to the ship list...
I was refered to the wiki page for the Dragon as an example of 'transclusion' which seemed like the best approach for handling the two ships in my Clippers OXP.
I'm sure when I had a look at this the other day the three Dragon variants (AN, SE and M) were clickable on the main Dragon page and took you to the 'stub' pages for the ships - the ones with the info boxes. This feature persuaded me that this arrangement was acceptable for my OXP, but does not seem to be working now on the Dragon page. In other words you cannot access the information for these three ships (the 'stub' pages) from the main Dragon page.
Does anybody know what's happening here?

Yes. I removed the links as I thought they were redundant for the Dragon ships as there is no extra information on the sub-pages.
Then I removed the superfluous semantic info boxes, so there is a point. I'll put the links back in the next few minutes...

Those links are back. Note that the solution is counter-intuitive: the child page has to have a link pointing to itself. This link is not visible when viewing the child page, but when the child page is transcluded into the parent page, the link becomes visible.

I've finally got around to sorting out the Clippers page, and using transclusions from the two individual ship pages. As far as I can see it's all working, but if somebody would like to cast an expert eye over these, I'd be grateful.

Nice work. It is working seamlessly, Smivs, seamlessly.

Now that the wiki server has been migrated (again) and has better resources, the Dynamic Ship List loads quite fast and I could raise the line limit (now 500) to beyond the actual number of ships available (currently some 300).
