I forgot if I'd asked this already (a search brought up no posts of mine, but maybe I wasn't using the right terms), but is the brand of constore you get in a given system always the same, or randomly assigned when you enter the system? This post seems to suggest the former.
I mainly ask because I've been flying around Galaxy 2 and only ever seeing constores of the same two brands, who seem to have split up the market between each other in a manner reminiscent of Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord (if they had a discount-supermarket duopoly); a far cry from the diversity I had gotten used to in Galaxy 1.

I've never paid much attention to it really. I believe that the brand are predetermined through the randomization and calculations the script does to spawn them in the different systems. I always thought that certain galaxies seemed to have certains brands that dominated but again having never paid much attention to the constores I couldn't say for certain that's the case.

I think that was the second time I'd seen it happen, so it should be at least occasionally reproducible. I'll have a go at making it happen deliberately later onEric Walch wrote:If it happens another time

And BuggyBY, I think it's the former: my little mall was made entirely of Tescoos!

Re: 5 constores
The only way this can happen is that the code encounters an syntax error after the store was added but before the handler deleted itself. And as this version is around for over a year without reported problems, I think its is something with your setup. But, a syntax error will always be logged so this must be in the log.Talisker wrote:I think that was the second time I'd seen it happen, so it should be at least occasionally reproducible. Maybe you have an install of two versions were now the older version overwrites the newer? Should also be shown in the log, by the version number of the script: "Pi-Forty-Two Con stores" This should show: "4.1.7"
UPS-Courier & DeepSpacePirates & others at the box and some older versions

Ok, that's my first try to contribute with the ooniverse: Here's an ad for the best pooza I have ever heard of, made in Riedquat. I don't know if this is the right place to put the image, but here it goes. If anyone wants to make it better, it's open to modify.

(editing) Well, I finally succeeded puting the image here!
Thanks!
P.S. Next, I will try to learn some ship editing so to make an NPC to act as a simple pooza deliver ship...

"Pooza"? Slogan: "In space, nobody can smell what you eat"?marcusrg wrote:Here's an ad for the best pooza I have ever heard of, made in Riedquat.
Oh well, I suppose even space-faring Scarabaeoids need to eat.

And yes, that should be a nice slogan for it!

Well, I really don't know if the word "Pooza" has some strange meaning in english... What I did was just change the "i" from Pizza to the "oo's" of the Ooniverse... If there is some bad meaning I apologize. Is that the case? If it is a bad name, we can change it back to just "Pizza", or better, "Riedpizza".

How about Pizzoo!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Or the Riedpizza idea?
Either of them are good, I think.

The word "Poo" is a polite way of saying excrement.marcusrg wrote:Well, I really don't know if the word "Pooza" has some strange meaning in english
Hope that 'clears' things up!
Find out about the early influences of Fatleaf here. Also his OXP's!

You often eat "Poo" in Thai cuisine which from what I can gather means crab.
