If it's been through the Guild, you know it's been tested!
You guys should have a QA stamp that tested OXPs can proudly display on their wiki page :)
Now that is a darn good idea!
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Something like ISO 9001 certified (not that I precisely know what that entails, but hey), but in a 1000 years or so there will probably be the GSO instead.

There was a discussion on a logo a while back. We went with this

I love the Bell X-1... if only some shipwright would knock a model up for it!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

That could be, that it is only to help older browsers not having to send the whole page. It would fit the warning of a 32k limit of some browsers.

I wasn't so much thinking about a logo for the guild, but more a "Guild certified" approval stamp for OXPs. Like this here:

But then we would need to define the conditions that would merit a "stamp". The easiest way would be if anyone in The Guild tested it. Or would it need two "signatures"?
Or am I getting too officious?

An approval stamp ain't needed - any release version of an OXP should be tested enough, whoever did the testing.

Of course it is not needed, but would be a good laugh, not to be taken too seriously. By the way, care to test my [wiki]Beer Cooler[/wiki]? I'd love to get the "official" QA stamp for it :D

It doesn't seem to have its own thread in Expansion Pack! Or at least the search doesn't find it!

Must be the search, I did talk about it in some thread. But you're right, no dedicated thread.

Some OXPs have very little or no listing - like Zieman's splendid little offering!

Yeah I found the discussion but the dedicated thread is what I was talking about. I should learn to make myself clearer. Might be a good time to start one...
