Despite not having a TV, I hate to miss Eurovision.

I am SO glad I saw Lordi's win.

I wonder if the UK will win this year, because nobody can afford to host it next year it so they will all vote for us so that we have to pay for it. (Although if they are very clever, they will all vote for Ireland to win - the UK usually pays then anyway.)

i really really like the UK song this year! OK the guy looks like a demon door from fable 3 but as long as he can hold the last few notes without going into 'vienna' by ultravox i reckon we'll do OK

For some obscure reason, this topic brings this to mind!

I have just realised that I have never heard the Norwegian song. Gives me a strange proud feeling. Only times I watched, was when I could get BBC 1 and Terry Wogan as the commentator. Hearing him make fun of Eurovison made up for the suffering.

well, the two songs i really liked from this year, UK and Norway got about 10 points between them both! Feel a bit sorry for Humperdink, they kept recapping his song with a bit where he went slightly off key straining to hit a high note.

I watched it, and like Griff, also had not heard our song. When I did, I thought, thats a boring song, no way is that going to win. And I was right. Last place!
Only because we got kicked out in the semis. ;-)

(The next day both major Swedish tabloids had huge headlines about how the Swedish people demanded that Eurovision be taken off the air because it’s all gone to pot anyway. Oh, how I laughed. Laughed with bitter tears at the fundamental stupidity of my species.)
Time to wipe away those tears Ahruman, you guys are hosting it next year! :D
