Re: Storm Shipyards
Ooh! Nice-looking ship! It has a purposeful air about it, and it sits well with the original designs. I like that yellow colour too ... even if it's just a basic skin, it's a good place to start from.

Re: Storm Shipyards
Well you've managed to de-cheese-wedge it - which is good, but it looks a little busy, and perhaps and little stunted now.
I'm very much enjoying your re-imaginings.

Ha yes the original wireframe mesh for the Fer-de-Lance is an ugly shape. Doesn't really scream slick bounty hunter at all. Not sure mine does either... may go back to it later and see if I can make it less cluttered.

Heh... I just pulled into Maraus, checked the shipyard, and found nineteen Ferdies for sale... and one Anaconda!Storm wrote:the Fer-de-Lance is an ugly shape. Doesn't really scream slick bounty hunter at all.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Do want.
Amazing job. I really like how you kept the lines and look of the originals. Looks very nice.

Re: Storm Shipyards
Thanks. The most leeway for redesign when keeping to the original wiremesh models as much as possible seems to be the engines but I think they may look a little bland otherwise, especially when comparing to the likes of Griff's models. Still early days though - hopefully some nice skins and lighting effects will make them look a lot better.
Next up, a new ship, the Cheetah, which should give the racing Mamba a run for its money...
