I'm now relegated to playing Oolite on a fairly slow and old computer. It can handle most things although shaders aren't available but when I jump into a system with Nebulae in the background the whole thing slows right down and becomes virtually unplayable.
I've edited the main Oolite planetinfo.plist file to read:
nebula_count_multiplier = 0;
But I'm also in the middle of the Ionics mission OXP, which I've read adds some heavy duty nebula effects to a few systems. What I can't work out is which line(s) of code I'll need to edit or remove to stop these appearing. Can anyone help?

I think you must switch "reduced detail" to ON in the game settings. In that mode, no nebula are drawn when I remember well.Commander Trigg wrote:I'm now relegated to playing Oolite on a fairly slow and old computer. Success!
I had to restart the game with shift pressed for the reduced detail change to take effect. FAR easier than trying to edit a script, thanks!
