Rock Hermit ships not Clean/Offender/Fugitive?!

Post by Switeck »

I have the standard scanner (that I bought as a ship add-on) which should tell me whether they're Clean/Offender/Fugitive...but they show up as blank.
Bounty Scanner is not reporting a bounty on them, which it doesn't seem to do for bounties between 0 and 1 credit.
What's going on?!
I'm using Oolite v1.75 nightly builds and it's been like this for a few weeks.

Hermits are stations, and entities with scanclass stations don't show up with a status iirc (as don't cargo or rocks too for example). Try targetting the main station and see what you get there.

Can't comment on the bounty scanner - that's one for Frame.

That has been the case since Oolite 1.65 as far as I remember. That is because they don't have a CLASS_NEUTRAL scanClass.

What do they have? They appear yellow on the scanner, so I always assumed CLASS_NEUTRAL.

It is CLASS_NOT_SET when I remember right. I think it might be done this way to avoid getting a contradicting label on such ships.

CLASS_NOT_SET sounds like an indeterminate state that should only last till the game engine decides what to classify them after launch. Schrodinger's Cat strikes again?

I am getting not Clean/Offender/Fugitive for _defensive_ ships launched by the Rock Hermit, which I hope is separate entities from the Rock Hermit itself.

To avoid showing bounties for asteroids, we discussed this a while back.. in the bounty scanner thread..
