Strange but true - Star Wars coins

Post by Smivs »

Fancy buying your next doughnut with Luke Skywalker, or spending a Darth Vader or two on a drink?
Well on the island of Niue near New Zealand you can do just that!

A very expensive donut indeed.
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago - I think it's a clever idea - the island has almost no GDP or exports, so it's decided to export its own currency - good for them, swapping an almost worthless currency for £s/US$s/AU$s from lots of Star Wars fans who will buy it (wonder what the licensing from Lucas cost?)
