The Mac download includes the Read Me PDF, but not the ref sheet. (When updating, only the application itself is modified, but it contains a copy of the Read Me available from the Help menu.)Eric Walch wrote:I also think the files are not included in the mac download. At least not when updating.

The PDF RS downloadable from the wiki is very out-of-date ... I tried uploading the latest version from Berlios as a replacement but got an Upload Warning:
Looks like it needs someone with higher privileges than me to upload it. Alternatively, if the latest version was always hosted in the same place, i.e. on oolite.org, then we could link to that from the wiki ...".zip" is not a permitted file type. Permitted file types are png, gif, jpg, jpeg.

It would actually require Winston to change a configuration file on the server. However, a direct link into the actual repository should be stable, and always up-to-date: http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/ool ... liteRS.pdfDisembodied wrote:Looks like it needs someone with higher privileges than me to upload it.

OK – I've updated the wiki Instruction Manual page to link to the file on Berlios.Ahruman wrote:It would actually require Winston to change a configuration file on the server. Minor issue with the OoliteRS.pdf:
Roll & Pitch for the different ships is listed in a two-letter code that's not explained. For the life of me I can't seem to figure it out.
JE?
JF?
AA?
MG?
...lol what?
Oh, and here's a fun little sneaky way you can keep a crib sheet:
Open Oolite in windowed mode.
Hit the commodities screen.
Open up the above document.
Resize that window so it's fairly small.
Zoom the text to where the numbers are fairly similar in the document and in the game.
Get to the part of the document that displays average, min and max commodity prices.
Take a very small screen shot of only the Gold, Plat and Gem prices.
Grats, now you have a small unobtrusive picture that you can place under your game on your desktop (or as a desktop background) in the right spot. Quick Alt-Tab (Cmd-Tab for Mac) to get the avg/min/max prices displayed right next to the in-game prices!

Don't ask me why this scale was chosen, this was done by KZ9999, who has not been around for a long time. It's as an arbitrary rating system as anything else, really.
