We do fan fiction, yeah? Some people might think it's sad to write fan fiction about a computer game. Our game has a universe and ships and planets and stuff. You need all those things to write fan fiction. It would be impossible to write fan fiction about a game with no characters. Like a puzzle game, right?

Well, if somebody enjoys writing it and somebody enjoys reading it, then it's cool.
I personally would never have thought of fan-fic for that game, but it was kinda interesting to see how they did it for a couple stories.
On the other hand, there's probably some actual slash fiction about Tetris out there somewhere. Rule #34, y'know?
