I have a working script for a unification framework, but ran into an issue with it. It bloated save games in a way I found unacceptable.

I have an idea for a re-work to avoid the issue, but had become discouraged enough to walk away for a bit. Since them I've been busy with some RL matters (and some other hobbies) for a few months. Still, I've not abandoned Oolite and will get back to work soon.

Np that sort of thing happens to us all. I sometimes play Oolite intensively and sometimes I have other (RL) things and other games.
I keep coming back to Oolite each time though.

Yep. Even after cleaning up empty dicts are still remaining.

I'm usually cleaning them out manually from time to time (even if it's only a few bytes).

Hi, a new Oolite player here...

I have a strange problem with FP2.5.

I first installed it on top of many other OXP's and it did not show all the textures (yes, I did launch from station first, I did read this thread). I then tried removing all the other OXP's, but no matter what, some textures did not load. So I started looking around the files (they are after all plain JavaScript, and even without being able to program on it, I can somewhat understand it). So I found out that on my system FP2.5 will only load the textures for those planets that have a text entry in the planetinfo.plist (where each planet also gets a texture definition).

So the textures for Lave, Leesti, Tianve, etc. (which have no entry in the file - at least in the copy I downloaded through the wiki) are never loaded for me, not in the F7 display, not in-flight. What is strange is that music for each system does work just fine. Tried editing the script as shown in this thread, no change. Installing Deep Horizon Systems and the associated FP script did not help: vanilla texture is still vanilla.

Here's the log file for FP2.5 alone:

If you are interested I can upload modified versions for testing and if this looks good for you I'll send to pagroove.

I keep thinking, why are people trying to make their OXPs DaddyHoggy compatible... :roll: :wink:

If there's a memorandum regarding DH standard and requirements for compatibility and certification please post the link here. :P
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

With Pagrooves permission a update to v2.5.1 is available.

-> http://www.box.net/shared/klhjkxh5ah9zl73csiur (16.7 KB).

The zip contains only the new script, planetinfo.plist and readme for the update and Cmd.Cheyd has run it successful with his DH-Systems.
