Well actually you can eat most, not all of the poisonous ones heaps of times.

Usually just not too many (or much, some can be huge) of them at once!

There are many a strange side effect to "poisonous" fungi.

Luckily most of the poisinous ones taste really awfull, natures warning.

Watched a doco reacently about how things taste and why children hate greens.
There are far more deadly types of greens than fungi.
Childrens taste buds are different from adults and greens taste much worse to them.
This appears to be a saftey mechanisim from way way back to stop toddlers poisoning themselves.
