Hello everyone!
I tried to install OXPs downloading/extracting the file ".oxp" in C:\Oolite\AddOns (windows 7). There was no effect on the game; the textures remained the same.
Then I tried several OXPs.I tried creating C:\Oolite\oolite.app\AddOns with the OXPs. Same results.
I removed the folder C:\Oolite\oolite.app\AddOns, and i tried running it with compatibility mode with other systems. Again I was unsuccessful. Do you have any idea what's going on with my PC?
Solution: When the game is started press f2, then click "Reset to unrestricted play"

Hi and welcome to the friendliest Board this side of Riedquat.
Just checking, you've downloaded an OXP (or some), extracted them (as they come as .zip files or .rar files), and placed the 'whateveritis.oxp' folder/s in your AddOns folder, yes? If so, hold down 'shift' as you start the game (to clear the cache), and everything should work.

Hi FabienM and welcome... it might be a good idea to post your Latest.log, found here: C\Oolite\oolite.app\Logs\
Also, check to see if 'strict mode' is enabled on the F2 screen... if so, disable it.

Hi FabienM,
And welcome to the friendliest Board this side of Riedquat as Smivs said.
Try creating a directory under Oolite called AddOns.
Edit: Also please make sure you are not running Oolite in strict mode. Strict mode will not load the OXP's. As El Viejo said

The game got installed on "restricted mode". Never noticed this feature.
Muchas gracias El Viejo!

Re: don't succeed in installing OXPs [SOLVED]
Cool... it was Okti who prompted the suggestion about 'strict mode'.

The game is always installed in unrestricted mode. Most likely you clicked on the reset to strict accidentally at some point or tried to load a save file that had been generated for a game in strict mode. Glad you got it working at the end, anyway.FabienM wrote:The game got installed on "restricted mode".
