I am in Galaxy 2 now. But I am planning a jump to Galaxy 3.
As I am halfway to Deadly ( I think ) I would expect the Thargoid-mission when I land in Gal 3.
But when I bought my ship it had a Naval Energy Unit installed. ( Just couldn't resist it ).
Will this in any way iterfere with the mission?
A ( small ) question about the "classic" Thargoid-mission.

At least when you finished the constrictor mission you should get it soon. In my case I accidentally pressed the 'G' button during the constrictor hunt instead of the 'H'. So I never got a chance to kill the constrictor and get the following mission. I had to finish the nova mission in 4 first, than the assassin.oxp missions in Gal 7 (without a naval energy unit in my case) and than through Gal 1 I did the constrictor mission - What an easy one after doing assassin first-, and the thargoid plans as my last one.greenseng wrote:I am in Galaxy 2 now. No interference, but the final message saying you get the device is wrong. There probably should be an alternative text for guys like you.greenseng wrote:But when I bought my ship it had a Naval Energy Unit installed. ( Just couldn't resist it ).

Good! Then at least I don't have to worry about that.
Yes. Finished the Constrictor. Hardly noticed that it was the Constrictor as everything suddenly went so fast.
But when I landed on the station some commander thanked me and said that I sooner than I would think would get another chance to help them.
Guess this may happen now.
The assassins sounds interesting. Hmm..
Something to think about after the Thargoids.

You were absolutely right. But.. as I have understood it, the NEU does not automatically "follow" when you buy a new ship. But you are offered to buy one on TL14+ planets.
If one has an Extra Energy Unit installed. Do they replace it or is a NEU simply not offered?
Think I saw somewhere that there has been a problem with this. But maybe I mix things up.
The problem is maybe solved in v.1.75 if there was a problem.
