It doesn't seem that long ago a few of just joined the 1000 posts club...
So just to prove that once again most of my posts are in fact pointless noise I observe that here - in Outworld - I make my 6000th post.
Commander McLane is of course well on the way to being the sole entrant into the 7000 club and, had it not been for the hacked site and subsequent loss of posts, Ahruman would still be ahead of us all.
However, if I occasionally have the odd good idea/suggestion, come up with the odd Ad worthy of inclusion in YAH, have enough historical knowledge to point noobies to an old thread of interest, and keep my Katana sharp, I will continue to enjoy being amongst such illustrious company as the members of this forum - which remains, without a doubt, the friendliest this side of Riedquat.

Now just a cotton-pickin' minute here... I reckon that I've got a higher percentage of fluff in my post count than thee, el cuervo.DaddyHoggy wrote:So just to prove that once again most of my posts are in fact pointless noise I observe that here - in Outworld - I make my 6000th post.
Well done, DH!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I've read this a few times and I'm still not quite sure what you mean...It doesn't seem that long ago a few of just joined the 1000 posts club...
Considering I joined 6 months before you and have been generally contributing throughout I'm rather surprised to find my count is as low as it is...

And how many of those typed words might have otherwise ended up in the novel eh?

Cheers,

Congratulations and welcome to the club!
You just were elected secretary and treasurer; unanimously, as I may say. (New members didn't yet get to vote.)

Re: The 6000 club
One of the reasons I massively reduced my blogging was that I accidentally counted up my total blogging word count (due to a flaky interface used by my local newspaper I used to keep blogs in a separate document and then cut and paste entries - it also made it easier (indeed possible) to search for previously created content) and the doc properties indicated the file contain 50,000 words - two years worth of blogging!drew wrote:I've read this a few times and I'm still not quite sure what you mean...It doesn't seem that long ago a few of just joined the 1000 posts club...

Happy 6000 DaddyHoggy!
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.
