do i get less bounty for shooting pirates when i'm a fugitive
myself than if i were clean?

i was shooting a pack of pirates and i noticed the rewards were
very low. sometimes as low as 3. i remember getting 50 or even
more. that was when i could still use my docking computer.

I suspect I may have introduced a problem where bounties for abandoned vessels are greatly reduced (x1/10). I'll work on a fix.

ah.. so i have to destroy their ship before they can make it to the escape pod

not that i really care about the money

Personally, I like the money. My preference is to scoop the escape pod, then come about and destroy the unmanned ship to scoop as much of his cargo as I can hold.

I like blasting the escape pod! Does that make be a bad person?

(Well I'd rather leave room to scoop 10Kg of platinum than 20Cr.s worth of slaves.)

I meant: I dont really care about the _bounty_ money. When I scoopt that
container and it says '19kg of Platinum'.. .._that's_ the real bounty.
