Is it still necessary to copy plists, shaders etc.? This is the bit that confused me most when I first installed. Are adverts with blue screens & bombs intentional? There seem to be quite a few . . .
I suppose I'd just like to know how to verify if everything is working really.
Thanks, Ian.

You only need the replace the "YOUR_AD_HERE.oxp" file. All the other update files have been unchanged and can be thrown away when you already updated the modules. I am also not happy with the updaters and would prefer that the modules themselves get updated. But I have no access to the modules themselves and I don't want to host the updated versions on my account. Therefor the update files.m4r35n357 wrote:Is it still necessary to copy plists, shaders etc.? This is the bit that confused me most when I first installed. I always hoped the original authors would implement them, but I haven't heard from Dr Nil for at least a full year. Probably more.

Hi, using the newest release with 1.75 - all of the packs have been updated as per install instruction. This error keeps on cropping up in the logs.....

The “illuminated billboard” shader used for some billboards in YAH is quite complex. By the look of it, it’s too much for your graphics card to handle. Try setting Shader Effects to Simple in the configuration menu.Capt. Re: YOUR AD HERE!!! 300 ads (sets A, B, C, D, E, F & G)
This line was forgotten to delete for the set G. There used to be a separate script file to orient the billboards, but since Oolite 1.74 it is easier to do that in the main script itself. So no harm is done when that file is not found.Mauiby de Fug wrote:I did a search and it appears in the set G shipdata.plist, line 427, assigned to the "yah_set_G_asteroid-billboard". However, none of the other sets contains this. Is it necessary, or left over from an old template and can be deleted?Code: Select all

Dashes in, posts, curses RL(tm) and lack of time to visit BB properly, promises normal service will be resumed shortly (I hope).
Undecided, may have to drop end 'S' which cocks up the symmetry or add grammatical apostrophe not present in original.
If you can't quite read the bottom text - it says (or said, before rescaling) - 'AONAISH CIDER' - Chart 1, go look it up...
later guys...

Re: YOUR AD HERE!!! 300 ads (sets A, B, C, D, E, F & G)
'C' shows up twice in the Advanced Space Compass with the Oodles Store, due to a line left in the "yah_set_G_constore" part of the shipdata.plist. (ie once for the beacon, and once for the station itself) The one for the station can be safely deleted, methinks.
Code: Select all
beacon = "Con-store";

Another leftover script in set G, this time in the constore itself:
Again, am deleting...
