Re: Record on the users in BB
There once was a Grey Haired Commander
whose thoughts they were wont to meander.
The subject at hand
mattered not to the man
if a jell'babe he happened to gander.

Well, after this thread has been officially dedicated to jellybabies I can hardly complain. They're on topic here.Gimi wrote:Cdr McLane; Can we continue in outworld please?

Re: Record on the jellybabies in BB
Anybody for Marmite?
For 2 people
2 slices of ciabatta bread (cut on the diagonal)
2 large slices of Parma ham (enough to cover the bread slices)
4 free range eggs
1 tsp Marmite
1 tbsp chopped sunblush tomatoes
dash of tabasco
chopped fresh parsley
celery salt
freshly milled black pepper
butter for scrambling
Recipe
Lightly toast the ciabatta bread and then spread with the Marmite. Lay the slices of Parma ham on the hot Marmite toast.
Melt a little butter in a pan. Add the whisked eggs and season with the celery salt and pepper and then add a dash of tabasco to taste. When the eggs are just beginning to set add in the sunblush tomatoes and stir well.
Pile the scrambled eggs on top of the toast, garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Where is the jellybaby in that recipe, and how do you intend to explain Marmite to the non-British part of our community.

Did you know that the capsule parachutes from the Apollo programme were sponsored by Scotland's own Tunnock's tea cakes?
Re: Record on the jellybabies in BB
I have tried both, and, while Marmite has its use, the existence of Vegemite is beyond my comprehension.TGHC wrote:You could try vegemiteGimi wrote:how do you intend to explain Marmite to the non-British part of our community.

Re: Record on the jellybabies in BB
I've noticed a disturbing tendency of late: An increasing amount of posts not mentioning jellybabies at all.
Why, just a few few minutes ago I was perusing the BB Logo Competition thread. Would you believe that not a single one of the entries so far display any jellybabies? What is the world coming to?

Well, I'm not from the UK, but I thought I heard say they would survive the nukes. Or was it they are made by nuking various (in)edibles?drew wrote:Marmite, Vegemite, Bovril.

I think you put the hex on it when you asked in your (quite humorous) picture about derailing the thread...CheeseRedux wrote:I've noticed a disturbing tendency of late: An increasing amount of posts not mentioning jellybabies at all.
