Re: winter tyres
Lovely country, Norway… I met the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in Norway. She was half Norwegian, half Italian… the combination was… was… ahh!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I am frequently reminded that this board is populated by 40-somethings.

That combination has possibilities that I can not even imagine. Oh shit, my brain is trying to go places I have never heard of..... Need to update my internal TomTom.El Viejo wrote:Lovely country, Norway… I met the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in Norway. She was half Norwegian, half Italian… the combination was… was… ahh!
Lets see.... Without being obnoxious...
Beautiful and extrovert, well dressed accentuating her favourable attributes, has a temper but knows what she wants,
Of course it could go the other way as well

Not entirely, my friend! I've been 21 for just over a month and still have to think about how old I am!Phantom Hoover wrote:I am frequently reminded that this board is populated by 40-somethings.

And I've been 5 (with a badge to prove it) for about 33 years now...

Re: winter tyres
I will leave the 40-somethings this year.
But when I first wake up, before the first cup of coffee, I feel like I'm going on 500 at the very least. Or that perhaps I have just been through a fall from a vast height.

Re: winter tyres
Funny how we seamlessly drifted from tyred in Winter to tired in Winter... ...but then I left my 40s too long ago to be very happy about it; although here in the UK the bus pass and train pass, cold weather payments and winter heating allowance do provide some small solace!
@Ganelon - yes, that reminds me of when I first looked in the mirror one morning and saw my father looking back at me...
I have never been in a position to be able to afford 2 sets of tyres to cover all driving conditions, but I've never had a major incident in bad weather despite driving in blizzard-like conditions of not being able to see beyond the end of the bonnet continuously, black ice, and deep snow. It wasn't always easy or relaxing without the right tyres, but I did invest in a driving course on the Brands Hatch skid pan many many years ago, and I think that made a big difference.

Very funny, Scotty, now beam down my clothes...
