Objects as .3DS Files?

Post by SwissMäc »

Is it possible to export the objects into .3ds or .dxf ?
(Or at least the Cobra MK.3 and the Coriolis Station)

It's cool to make models after that in real, e.g. paper models.

Use the DAT2OBJTEX.py script (instructions are on the main Oolite site, I think). Then load the OBJ file into Wings3D and export it out to 3DS format!

Simples.

OK, maybe not simples, but certainly not rocket science. The only bit I'm not sure about (and don't have time to investigate further) is the location of the script...
