Well, my ill-gotten goods arrived today, but I'm not allowd to open them until my birthday, since it was the wife who bought them (for that purpose).

Typical that I forgot that little bit of the conversation...

I'll post photos on the big day. 17 Dec.

Smaller than I hoped for...

These came out smaller than I expected (at 3/4 inch across the base of the Cobra 3), but quite sharp detail despite the sugary surface texture.

Oh man, this stuff rocks. Any chance you could make either/both of: a) a classic Elite logo (you know, like the original 1980s competition pins) and/or b) a larger Cobra Mk III that would be easier to paint? I suggest that particular ship because it's the only user-pilotable vessel in my dearly beloved ArcElite, so I have a fondness for it from my childhood. Also, the Arc version's blue colour scheme rocks.

Might I suggest an "airfix" version? How many flat planes are we talking about here? Hell, cut up a griff cobby and job done! If you make it up on a spruce too you could also recast it yourself, for less cash.

Just remember to model the glue lugs.

I finally got to open my kit! The models are lovely, if a bit rough around the edges, but that all pales against the fact that half of them are missing!!

Here's what I received (click on the image for a bigger one):

Looks like the python, krait, moray and asp are missing!

The Oolite badge, though, is AWESOME!

P.S. I don't know if you've seen it yet, but Giles made this:
