[Solved] Contracts problem.

Post by Dave McRoss »

This is unexpected: I have got a Python ET with cargo expansion. I also have done a lot of contracts in the last few days, so I think I could take hi-value transports of gold, gem stones and platinum.

But, even if I have the cargo bay empty, I can't subscrive the contracts. Why?

There is a screenshot of the problem:

Do you still have your passenger berth(s) attached?

EDIT: Removed the comment as irrelevant. Ooops.

Unless I'm reading that wrong, you don't have enough credits to pay the premium.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Yup.

btw. those are not yet the really good contracts. Sooner or later You should be able to get contracts that pay + 2/3 of the invested money.

Sorry but I don't understand. The premium is a sort of insurance I must pay to obtain the contract?

Perhaps it would be better if I return to kill thargoids and fugitives, I'm very bad at economy :(

For all cargo contracts you must BUY the cargo. Normally that is the local market value minus a discount.

You have "only" 11 237 credits. But you must first buy it against the "Premium" value. Than on delivery you get your Premium back plus an additional fee mentioned in "Pays".

Interesting. You only get 97 264.- on delivery. 1760 kg of platinum has an average value of 71.8 x 1760 = 126 368.- By not delivering it but selling it elsewhere in 14 small portions you probably get more but loose courier status.

ninja: I see it was already answered while I wrote my answer.
