Just renamed my AddOns folder to remove all OXPs and ran Oolite.

Here is a shot, showing no detail to the planet and also the "smudges" at the edge of the screen. Detailed Planets was switched on and Reduced Detail switched off.

Now I'm wondering whether the new cubemapping feature might be at fault here? Unless I'm mistaken as to whether 1.74 test uses cubemapping for planets?

Not unless an OXP is applying cube maps. (Besides, if the use of cube mapping triggered problems of this nature, it would still not be“at fault”.)

On the Game Over on launch and player ship problem 1.74 thread, Eric Walch and I have worked out that the problem with the double image of the planet is caused by Orbits and not by System Redux.

In that same thread, Scowpilot (a new member of the BB) has reported the same problem with double images.

I have replaced System Redux in AddOns, but I am still getting planets with no detail.
